Who we are

What we collect
If you join laVie, we collect the email you give us and, if you choose to type one, your first name. Nothing else: we do not ask about your diet or your health, and we would not keep the answer if you told us. You will get one email asking you to confirm, and you are on the list only if you click the link inside it. If you put something in your basket, what you chose is held by our shop provider so the basket is still there when you come back. The Label Reader runs entirely in your browser: what you type into it never reaches us, and never reaches anyone else.
How we measure the site
Only if you say yes. Nothing measures you until you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and until you do, none of the software below is downloaded to your browser at all. If you accept, we use three tools, each for one job: PostHog, hosted in the EU, for which pages and articles people find useful; Microsoft Clarity for a recording of how a page was used, so we can see where the site confuses people; and Google Analytics for how visitors found us. Every field you type into is masked before it leaves your browser — the stellaVie sign-up and the Label Reader box included — so we can see that a form was filled in and never what you wrote. We do not build a profile of you unless you identify yourself to us, and we do not use any of this for advertising. Your choice is remembered in a cookie on your own device, and you can change it at any time on our cookie preferences page, where it takes effect immediately.
Processors we use
Vercel (hosting, in the EU), Shopify (the shop and your basket) and Klaviyo (the laVie letter). And only once you have accepted analytics: PostHog (hosted in the EU), Microsoft Clarity, and Google Analytics. Data processing agreements are in place with each. There is no advertising, no remarketing and no ad platform on this site.
Where your data is processed
Some of it leaves Switzerland and the EU. Klaviyo, which sends the laVie letter, is a United States company and stores the address you give us there. So are Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, which only run at all if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Vercel hosts this site in the EU and PostHog holds its analytics in the EU. Each of the three US services is covered by a data processing agreement using the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which is the safeguard the GDPR and the Swiss DSG require for a transfer of this kind. In plain terms: if you subscribe to the letter, your email address is held in the United States, and if you decline analytics, nothing else about your visit goes anywhere.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Swiss DSG you may access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@thestellavie.com and we will respond promptly.
